What is the International Day of Happiness?
It’s a day to be happy, of course! Since 2013, the United Nations has celebrated the International Day of Happiness as a way to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated that the world “needs a new economic paradigm that recognizes the parity between the three pillars of sustainable development. Social, economic and environmental well-being are indivisible. Together they define gross global happiness.
Happiness Dinners – Gross National Happiness USA

#HappyActs
Fourth annual campaign, Live Happy will share small, simple actions and “happy learnings,” known as #HappyActs, on its social media channels and website. On March 18-20, in conjunction with the International Day of Happiness, more than 100 happiness walls will be set up in communities across the country-and around the world including Korea, China, Mexico, Canada and the U.K.-encouraging visitors to physically post, share and participate.
