What is the International Day of Happiness?
It’s a day to be happy, of course! Since 2013, the United Nations has celebrated the International Day of Happiness as a way to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated that the world “needs a new economic paradigm that recognizes the parity between the three pillars of sustainable development. Social, economic and environmental well-being are indivisible. Together they define gross global happiness.
Happiness Dinners – Gross National Happiness USA
Gross National Happiness USA (GNHUSA) has announced the Third Annual Happiness Dinners. The Happiness Dinners provide a safe, delicious, and congenial format for sharing what matters most to each of us, and opportunities for listening with compassion and respect. To learn more, visit GNHUSA.org.
Fourth annual campaign, Live Happy will share small, simple actions and “happy learnings,” known as #HappyActs, on its social media channels and website. On March 18-20, in conjunction with the International Day of Happiness, more than 100 happiness walls will be set up in communities across the country-and around the world including Korea, China, Mexico, Canada and the U.K.-encouraging visitors to physically post, share and participate.
