We are excited to announce that Joel Salatin and Van Jones will join the lineup of visionaries speaking at our 13th annual conference this June 10-12 in Phoenix.
Joel of Polyface Farm – often considered America’s most influential farmer – will join Sallie Calhoun (Paicines Ranch), Mark Tilsen (Native American Natural Foods), and Nikki Silvestri (social innovation strategist) in a newly announced vision session focused on soil, carbon, climate change, and how we can feed both communities and the soil on which all life depends.
Van, founder of Dream Corps and an environment and human rights activist, political commentator, and former green jobs advisor to the Obama administration, will join author and thoughtleader David Korten along with Myrlin Hepworth (poet and teaching artist) and Adrienne Maree Brown (Octavia’s Brood) for a vision session on the convergence of movements that share at their root a steadfast longing for a more democratic economy – and how these diverse movements coming together will forge the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
In addition to Joel and Van we’ve confirmed a handful of other leading Localist speakers from across North America and beyond to create an unparalleled lineup of inspiring and interactive programming.
