As we approach the 20th anniversary of TBLI I want to take a moment to look back on the journey that brought us here today and I want to thank you all for coming along with us.

The name, Brooklyn Bridge was chosen as a metaphor, as the Brooklyn Bridge formed the link from old (Brooklyn or Breukelen) to the new (New Amsterdam or New York). The company Brooklyn Bridge-Connections to the Future would be the connection from the old economy of slash and burn to the new economy of Sustainability or Value(s).
